Shoppable video apps for Shopify compared, with a phone showing a story slide and a product card

We read the Shopify App Store listings of eight shoppable video apps on October 1, 2026: Tolstoy, Videowise, Whatmore, Firework, ReelUp, Vizup, Moast and Storiq. All eight list a free plan, the first paid plans run from $9 to $39 a month, and the best shoppable video app for Shopify is the one whose format matches where your video goes: a carousel under the add to cart button, a floating bubble, stories or a live show. The free plans differ more than the prices, because each app caps something different: views, viewers, clicks, impressions or the number of videos.

Lists of the best shoppable video platforms often cover enterprise and live-commerce tools too; this one keeps to apps on the Shopify App Store. Prices change often, so check the listing before you install. Storiq is our app: it launched on September 29, 2026, has no reviews yet, and gets the same columns as the others and no ranking.

Prices and free plans, app by app

Tolstoy

Tolstoy: Shoppable Video & UGC imports Reels, TikToks and UGC, or your own uploads, and publishes them as galleries, carousels, stories, feeds, pop-ups or floating videos on product, home and collection pages, the Shop app, email and SMS. Shoppers add to cart from each video. Rating: 4.7 from 278 reviews.

The free plan reads as a starting period: uncapped on-site views for 30 days. "Publish shoppable videos to your store" first appears in Starter, $12 a month for 5,000 viewers, extra viewers at $10 per 1,000, with AI content tokens and virtual try-on. Plus costs $44 and Pro $195.

Fits: a store that wants every placement, including email, in one app. If the 30-day free period or per-viewer billing rules it out, see Tolstoy alternatives compared on the same criteria.

Videowise

The listing at /video-shopping is Videowise Shoppable Video UGC, by Videowise Video Commerce. It offers more than 16 widgets (stories, reels, banner, slider, carousel, video background) and publishes to the Shop app and TikTok Shop. Videos from TikTok, Instagram, Drive, Dropbox or Meta Ads go into one media library with an editor. Rating: 4.8 from 252 reviews.

The free plan covers the Shop app, TikTok Shop, import, tagging, and video compression and hosting. Videos on your own pages are listed in Pro: $9 a month with 5,000 unique widget impressions, $10 for extra impressions, 14-day trial. The description also names live video shopping.

Fits: many widget styles fed from one library across several channels. If you want video on your own pages without a paid plan, see Videowise alternatives compared on the same criteria.

Whatmore

Whatmore Shoppable Videos&Reel imports Reels and TikToks and uses AI to match products in each video. Formats: autoplay carousels, floating widgets, stories, gallery grids, HD banners and sliders. It also retargets viewers through the Meta Pixel. Rating: 4.9 from 377 reviews, the most of the eight.

Free Forever: 300 video clicks a month, 15 videos, a home page carousel, a floating video on product pages, stories and 5 AI product matches. Starter costs $29 for 3,000 clicks and 100 videos, with daily Instagram sync and a 14-day trial. Growth is $79, Scale $149.

Fits: a store posting Reels every week that wants them on the site without re-uploading.

Firework

Firework Shoppable Video & UGC adds floating videos, galleries, video reviews and product detail videos, with quizzes, polls, coupons and QR codes inside the player. It imports from Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, publishes to the Shop app and Klaviyo emails, and tags live selling among its features. Rating: 5.0 from 48 reviews.

The free Pilot plan includes 1,000 views a month and 10 uploads. Starter costs $39 for 10,000 views and 50 uploads. Growth, $259, gives 50,000 views and unlimited uploads, and is the first plan without Firework branding.

Fits: a brand that runs video in email and wants interactive elements in the player.

ReelUp

ReelUp‑Shoppable Videos+Reels imports TikTok and Instagram videos in one click and shows them as an autoplay carousel, autoplay videos below the add to cart button, or stories. It has the Built for Shopify badge. Rating: 4.9 from 300 reviews.

ReelUp counts a view only after 4 seconds of watching, and its listing notes that other apps count a view as soon as the video shows. Free: 100 such views a month (ReelUp equates this to 500 clicks), unlimited impressions, 10 videos, a watermark. Basic costs $29.99 for 3,000 views and 100 videos, without watermark. Premium is $99.99, Elite $199.99, each with a 7-day trial.

Fits: product pages where the video should sit directly under the buy button.

Vizup

The listing at /shoppable-video-reels is Vizup Shoppable Video Carousel, by ShopGracias, built for fashion brands. Layouts: carousels, sliders, grids, floating videos on product pages, stories and video backgrounds. It supports Shopify Markets and translations and has the Built for Shopify badge. Rating: 5.0 from 97 reviews.

Free: unlimited video views, unlimited product tags, 6 widget designs and advanced analytics. Pro costs $19.99 a month or $199.99 a year, with a 3-day trial; the listing does not detail what Pro adds.

Fits: a store selling in several markets and languages.

Moast

Moast Shoppable Video & UGC turns Reels, TikToks and UGC into shoppable carousels on product, home and collection pages and in emails, and publishes to the Shop app. Launched in May 2024, it holds 5.0 from 338 reviews and the Built for Shopify badge.

Free Forever: unlimited views, product tagging, 10 videos per widget, unlimited widgets, import and Shop app publishing. Pro, $15 a month or $165 a year with a 14-day trial, removes the per-widget limit and Moast branding, tags several products per video and collects UGC from customers.

Fits: a carousel on many pages with no view cap.

Storiq

Storiq ‑ Product Stories is our app, launched on September 29, 2026, with no reviews yet. It does one format: a story bar, round bubbles opening a full-screen viewer, added through a theme app block. Slides are images or videos from your Shopify Files library or uploaded through the app, served by Shopify's CDN. A product tagged on a slide shows a card with its image, title and price read live from your catalog. No carousel, no live shopping, no Instagram or TikTok import: you download the clip and upload it.

Free: 3 active stories, 1,000 story views a month, product page stories, 7-day analytics. Product cards come with Starter, $9.99 a month, with 15 stories, 10,000 views, scheduling and home and collection placements. Pro, $29, removes the limits. Both have a 7-day trial.

Fits: stories with a product card on product pages, without a review history yet to judge it by.

Formats each app lists: carousel, floating video, stories, live

The format narrows the list faster than price. Our page on the five formats of shoppable video defines each one.

Formats matrix: carousel, floating video, stories, gallery or feed, live shopping and Shop app publishing for 8 Shopify apps

  • Carousel: six of the eight describe one; Firework has it as a feature tag only. For a Shopify video carousel app, Moast, Vizup, Videowise, Whatmore and ReelUp put it in their listing's tagline.
  • Floating video: Tolstoy, Whatmore, Firework and Vizup describe it. Videowise, ReelUp and Moast only tag pop-ups.
  • Stories: six apps list them, and Storiq does nothing else.
  • Live shopping: only Videowise names it in its description. Firework, ReelUp and Tolstoy carry it as a feature tag.

Where the videos are hosted

Only two listings say where the files live. Videowise's free plan includes "video & image compression & hosting", so clips sit in Videowise's library. Storiq uses your Shopify Files library and Shopify's CDN. Whatmore, ReelUp, Vizup, Moast and Firework mention compression, lazy loading or page speed without naming a host, and Tolstoy says nothing. Ask before you import a few hundred clips: if you switch apps later, you will want to know whether the originals are in your store.

Files kept in Shopify count against your plan. Shopify's file requirements cap a video at 1 GB and 10 minutes, and a Basic store holds 250 videos and 3D models (1,000 on Grow). Our guide to Shopify product video size covers export settings.

How to choose a shoppable video app for your store

The best shoppable video app for your Shopify store depends on the use case, so start there and check the free plan against it.

Decision flow: four use cases for shoppable video on Shopify and the apps whose listings match each one

A few product clips on the product page

Three to ten short clips answering fit, size or texture questions, under the add to cart button or in a floating bubble. In our review of 8 Shopify stores using shoppable video, three of the five product-page setups with a buy path sat directly under add to cart. Free plans that hold this: Moast (10 videos per widget, unlimited views), Vizup (unlimited views) and Whatmore (floating video, 300 clicks a month). Without a product card, Shopify's own tools are enough: see adding video to a Shopify product page.

Reels, TikToks and UGC at scale

Hundreds of clips need import, sync and bulk publishing. Whatmore syncs Instagram daily from Starter, Videowise bulk-publishes from one library, and Moast Pro collects UGC from customers. Check video counts: Whatmore allows 100 on Starter and 300 on Growth, ReelUp 100 to 1,000 across paid plans, Firework 50 on Starter.

Live shopping

Videowise names live video shopping in its description, and Firework lists live selling and livestreams. Moast, Whatmore, Vizup and Storiq list no live features. If live is the reason you are looking, confirm on the developer's site which plan includes it.

Stories with product cards

Tolstoy, Videowise, Whatmore, ReelUp and Vizup offer a stories layout among other widgets. Storiq does stories only, with a live-price product card on paid plans. Our page on shoppable stories explains when the format beats a feed.

What a free shoppable video app plan usually caps

Each free plan limits a different thing. Check five points before you build on one, or see the free plans of 18 apps side by side in our list of free shoppable video and stories apps for Shopify.

  1. The counting unit. Firework counts views, ReelUp views of 4 seconds or more, Tolstoy viewers, Whatmore video clicks, Videowise widget impressions, Storiq story views. A carousel can be shown many times for one click, so 1,000 views and 300 clicks are different budgets.
  2. The number of videos. Moast allows 10 per widget, ReelUp 10, Firework 10 uploads, Whatmore 15, Storiq 3 active stories.
  3. Branding. Removing the app's logo or watermark is paid on Tolstoy, Videowise, ReelUp and Moast, and on Firework only from the $259 plan.
  4. The feature you came for. Storiq's product cards, Videowise's on-site widgets, Tolstoy's "publish shoppable videos to your store" and Whatmore's daily Instagram sync appear only in paid plan lists.
  5. Overage. Tolstoy bills extra viewers at $10 per 1,000, Videowise extra impressions at $10. Shopify charges recurring app plans every 30 days and adds usage charges for that period to your Shopify invoice. Our page on how much shoppable video costs on Shopify prices every plan at four traffic levels.

Paid trials run from 3 days (Vizup) to 14 days (Videowise, Whatmore, Moast), 7 on ReelUp and Storiq. Install the free plan of the one or two apps whose format fits, put a clip on one product page, and read the numbers before you pay.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free shoppable video app for Shopify?

Yes. As of October 1, 2026, Tolstoy, Videowise, Whatmore, Firework, ReelUp, Vizup, Moast and Storiq all list a free plan on the Shopify App Store. Moast and Vizup give unlimited video views for free. Whatmore caps the free plan at 300 video clicks a month, ReelUp at 100 views, Firework at 1,000 views, and Tolstoy lists uncapped on-site views for the first 30 days.

Can I put a video on my Shopify store without an app?

Yes. Shopify lets you add a video as product media or through your theme's video section, in MP4, MOV or WEBM, up to 1 GB and 10 minutes. Those native videos play without a product card: the tag or card that makes a video shoppable comes from an app.

What video format is best for Shopify?

Shopify accepts MP4, MOV and WEBM files up to 1 GB, 10 minutes and 4096 pixels on either side. Most shoppable video apps are built around Instagram Reels and TikToks, so vertical 9:16 clips fit their carousels and story players.

Which shoppable video apps support live shopping on Shopify?

Of the eight apps compared here, Videowise is the only one whose App Store description names live video shopping. Firework lists live selling and livestreams among its features, ReelUp lists live selling, and Tolstoy lists live events. Moast, Whatmore, Vizup and Storiq do not list live shopping.
