Storiq - Product Stories — Last updated: July 29, 2026
Storiq is designed to operate without personal data about your customers. For each installed store we process and store:
We do not collect or store visitor IP addresses, names, email addresses, order data, or any other personal information about the store's customers.
When a shopper opens a story, the widget sends a small batch of anonymous events to our servers. Each event contains only a story identifier and an event type, such as open or completion. These events are immediately added to daily counters; no raw event, session identifier or visitor identifier is kept.
The widget also writes one entry in the browser's local storage, listing the identifiers of the stories that browser has already watched, so they can be shown greyed out on the next visit. This entry stays on the shopper's device, is never sent to us, and can be cleared at any time from the browser. Storiq sets no cookies and loads no third-party tracker.
Images and videos used in stories are stored in the merchant's own Shopify Files library and served by Shopify's CDN. Storiq stores only the URL and the Shopify identifier of each file. Uninstalling Storiq does not delete those files: they remain in the merchant's Shopify account.
Storiq sends no data to any advertising network, analytics provider or AI provider.
Daily counters are kept for the period covered by the merchant's plan (7, 30 or 365 days) and are used to display the analytics dashboard. All data for a store is permanently deleted when the app is uninstalled, and upon any shop/redact request from Shopify. We honor all mandatory Shopify privacy webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact); since we store no customer personal data, customer requests require no action.
