Videowise alternatives for Shopify, with a phone showing a story slide and a product card

We read the Shopify App Store listings of Videowise and nine Videowise alternatives on October 1, 2026: Tolstoy, Moast, Reelfy, Whatmore, Firework, LiveMeUp, ReelUp, Vizup and Storiq. Videowise's free plan publishes to the Shop app and TikTok Shop but puts no widget on your own pages; on-site video starts with Pro, $9 a month for 5,000 unique widget impressions. Eight of the nine alternatives keep on-site video on a free plan with no end date (Tolstoy's lasts 30 days), and they count views, clicks, streaming time or nothing instead of impressions.

Moast and Reelfy are the apps like Videowise that Shopify suggests under "More apps like this" on the listing. Storiq is our app, launched on September 29, 2026 with no reviews yet, and it covers stories on product pages only. Hosting details are in our comparison of shoppable video apps for Shopify.

What Videowise offers and why merchants compare it

Videowise Shoppable Video UGC launched in September 2020 and holds 4.8 stars from 252 reviews. It offers over 16 widgets (stories, reels, banner, slider, carousel, video background), imports from TikTok, Instagram, Drive, Dropbox and Meta Ads into one library with an editor, and bulk-publishes to your pages, the Shop app and TikTok Shop.

Three points on the listing send merchants looking for a Videowise alternative:

  1. On-site widgets are paid. The free plan covers the Shop app, TikTok Shop, import, product tagging and hosting. "Unlimited shoppable videos on site" sits under Pro.
  2. The overage has no size. Pro reads "extra impressions just $10" without saying how many impressions $10 buys. Shopify bills recurring and usage-based app charges every 30 days.
  3. Live shopping has no listed plan. The tagline and feature tags name it; the two plans do not.

Videowise pricing on the App Store and on its website

Videowise's pricing page, read the same day, does not show the $9 plan. It sells modules: Shoppable Video from $299 a month, or $239 billed annually, "for sites up to 50k monthly visitors", with email, SMS, A/B testing and multi-store support. Live Shopping starts at the same prices and the full platform at $639 ($479 annually).

Ask which of the two offers a quote refers to. A comparison from June 2026 still gives the $9 plan 1,000 impressions; the listing now shows 5,000.

Matrix comparing Videowise with 9 alternatives on free on-site video, stories, carousel, Reels and TikTok import, email, Shop app, live shopping and Built for Shopify, read October 1, 2026

Five alternatives carry the Built for Shopify badge (Moast, Reelfy, LiveMeUp, ReelUp, Vizup); Videowise does not. Videowise, Tolstoy, Moast and Firework are in Shopify's Shoppable Videos for Shop collection.

Impressions, views or clicks: what each plan counts

An impression comes before any view or click, so the same traffic produces more impressions than views, and more views than clicks. ReelUp counts a view only after 4 seconds of watching.

Explainer: where impressions, views and clicks are counted, and how many units each first paid plan includes per 100 visitors for a store with 20,000 visitors a month

For a store with 20,000 visitors a month, Videowise Pro's 5,000 impressions come to 25 per 100 visitors, like Tolstoy Starter's 5,000 viewers. Firework Starter gives 50 views per 100 visitors, ReelUp Basic and Whatmore Starter 15. At 20,000 unique impressions, Videowise Pro runs 15,000 over, billed in $10 blocks of unstated size. Reelfy, Moast and Vizup set no cap.

Each alternative against Videowise

Videowise vs Tolstoy

Videowise's alternatives page calls Tolstoy "the alternative most frequently compared with Videowise", and Tolstoy's says the same of Videowise. Tolstoy: Shoppable Video & UGC adds email and SMS and costs $12 a month for 5,000 viewers, then $10 per 1,000. Its free plan shows video on your pages for 30 days. Our page on Tolstoy alternatives reads the pair from the other side.

Fits: video in email and SMS, AI content tokens, virtual try-on.

Moast

Moast Shoppable Video & UGC keeps unlimited views, 10 videos per widget, Reels and TikTok import and Shop app publishing free. Pro, $15, removes branding and collects UGC. No stories layout is listed. Our Shopify video carousel guide shows where a carousel can sit.

Fits: carousels on many pages, no view cap.

Reelfy

Reelfy Shoppable Videos & UGC, by KiteApps, launched in July 2024. It imports TikToks and Reels as stories, carousels or stacked videos. Free: unlimited impressions, 10 uploads, no brandmark. Starter, $9.99, allows 25 uploads; Growth, $19.99, allows 100. Neither is available on Shopify Plus.

Fits: a Videowise Pro price without an impression meter.

Whatmore

Whatmore Shoppable Videos&Reel has the most reviews of the ten. Free Forever covers 300 clicks, 15 videos, a home page carousel, a floating product-page video and stories. Starter, $29, adds daily Instagram sync.

Fits: a store posting Reels every week.

Firework

Firework Shoppable Video & UGC publishes to the Shop app and Klaviyo, embeds video in email and SMS, and tags live selling. Pilot is free with 1,000 views; Starter is $39 for 10,000. Branding stays until the $259 plan.

Fits: video in email, with quizzes and polls.

LiveMeUp

For live shopping, LiveMeUp Live Shopping prices it on the listing. You sell live on your site and multistream to Instagram and YouTube. Free: 30 minutes of streaming a month and shoppable replays. Grow costs $89 for 4 hours with unlimited views; Scale, $249, gives 12 hours.

Fits: ReelUp under the buy button, Vizup across several markets.

Storiq

Storiq ‑ Product Stories covers one Videowise widget: stories on product pages. A theme app block adds a story bar, and a product tagged on a slide shows a card with its live price. No carousel, live shopping, Shop app or import: you upload the clip, as our guide to adding Reels and TikToks to Shopify explains. Free: 3 stories, 1,000 views a month. Starter, $9.99, adds product cards and 10,000 views; Pro, $29, removes limits. Analytics count opens, completion and clicks, without personal data.

Fits: stories with a product card. See shoppable stories for when that format fits.

What Videowise offers that the alternatives do not list

Videowise has the longest import list of the ten (TikTok, Instagram, Drive, Dropbox, Meta Ads), an editor, and bulk publishing across pages, TikTok Shop and the Shop app. TikTok Shop is in its free plan, and it states 16+ widget themes. Its website adds AI clips, AI content and multi-store modules. If you sell on TikTok Shop or run several stores, leaving means splitting that work across apps.

Which Videowise alternative fits your store

Decision grid: which Videowise alternative matches each reason to switch, and when to stay on Videowise

Name your reason first: free on-site video (Moast, Vizup, Reelfy), priced live shopping (LiveMeUp), or a format, defined in our page on the five formats of shoppable video. Then install one or two free plans, show the same clip on one product page, and compare the counts after 30 days.
