How much shoppable video costs on Shopify, with a phone showing a story slide and a product card

Shoppable video on Shopify costs $0 to $259 a month in app fees, as of October 1, 2026. We read the App Store listings of nine shoppable video apps that day: Tolstoy, Videowise, Whatmore, Firework, ReelUp, Vizup, Moast, Reelfy and Storiq. All nine list a free plan, the first paid plans run from $9 to $39 a month, and the most expensive listed plan is Firework Growth at $259. What you actually pay depends on the unit each app meters and on your traffic.

Two other lines sit outside the app fee: making the videos and storing them. For formats, ratings and which app fits which store, see our comparison of shoppable video apps for Shopify. Storiq is our app; it gets the same columns as the others.

Shoppable video cost by app, every plan as of October 2026

Every listed plan of 9 Shopify shoppable video apps with price and monthly allowance, read on the App Store on October 1, 2026

Three apps keep the shoppable part out of the free plan. Videowise puts on-site widgets in Pro, $9 a month. Tolstoy gives eligible accounts uncapped views for 30 days, then "publish shoppable videos to your store" starts at $12. Storiq's product cards start at $9.99. Moast and Vizup list product tagging on their free plans. Reelfy, Whatmore, ReelUp and Firework keep on-site video free within an upload, click or view cap, with a watermark on ReelUp and branding on Firework.

Some developers also sell plans off the App Store. Videowise's own pricing page sells a Shoppable Video module from $299 a month ($239 billed annually) for sites up to 50,000 monthly visitors, and Tolstoy's website lists a $299 Max plan absent from its listing. Our pages on Tolstoy alternatives and Videowise alternatives compare both price lists.

How shoppable video pricing scales: views, clicks, videos or a flat fee

None of the nine listings takes a share of your sales. They scale on one of four things.

Four ways Shopify shoppable video apps scale their price: audience metered with overage, audience metered by tier, number of videos, and flat or streaming time

  • Audience, with a listed overage price. Tolstoy bills viewers and charges $10 per 1,000 extra on Starter and Plus, $7 on Pro. Videowise bills unique widget impressions, "extra impressions just $10", without saying how many.
  • Audience, by tier. Whatmore counts video clicks, Firework views, ReelUp views of 4 seconds or more, Storiq story views. Each plan has a monthly allowance; more traffic means the next plan.
  • Number of videos. Reelfy gives unlimited impressions and charges by uploads: 10 free, 25 for $9.99, 100 for $19.99. Moast allows 10 videos per widget free and removes the limit at $15.
  • A flat fee or airtime. Vizup keeps unlimited views free and charges $19.99 for Pro. Live shopping apps meter airtime: LiveMeUp gives 30 minutes of streaming free, then $89 for 4 hours.

What you pay at 1,000, 5,000, 20,000 and 50,000 a month

The table below takes each listing's tiers and finds the cheapest plan for four usage levels. Each app is read in its own unit: 5,000 clicks take far more traffic than 5,000 impressions, because a shopper usually sees a widget more often than they tap it.

Monthly price of 9 shoppable video apps at 1,000, 5,000, 20,000 and 50,000 units a month, each in the app's own unit, from App Store tiers read October 1, 2026

Metered apps jump in steps: ReelUp goes from $29.99 to $99.99 between 3,000 and 20,000 views, and Firework from $39 to $259 above 10,000 views. Overage can also cost more than the next plan: 20,000 Tolstoy viewers cost $162 on Starter ($12 plus 15,000 extra at $10 per 1,000) and $44 on Plus.

How Shopify bills app plans

Shopify bills recurring and usage-based app charges on your Shopify invoice, every 30 days rather than every calendar month. A year therefore holds 12 or 13 charges, and a $29 plan comes to about $353 over 365 days.

  • Upgrades are prorated. Shopify's example: moving from a $5 to a $15 plan on day 15 of a 30-day cycle costs $10 for that cycle. A downgrade gives an app credit.
  • Usage charges can be capped. Apps that bill usage can set a spending limit; you raise it under Settings > Apps.
  • Uninstalling stops future cycles, but a charge already generated can still appear on the next invoice.
  • Yearly billing is cheaper where offered: Tolstoy saves 33 to 34%, Reelfy 25%, Firework Growth 23%, Whatmore 20%, Vizup 17%, Moast 8%. Videowise, ReelUp and Storiq list monthly prices only.

Costs beyond the app

Costs beyond the app: ways to source shoppable video with listed prices, and Shopify's video count and storage limits by plan

Making the videos

The cheapest clips are the ones you already posted. Tolstoy, Videowise, Whatmore, Firework, ReelUp, Moast and Reelfy import Reels and TikToks, and Vizup imports Reels; with an app that takes uploads, you download the clip first, as our guide to adding Reels and TikToks to Shopify explains.

For new footage, a phone meets Shopify's recommended specs: vertical 1080x1920, H.264, 30 fps. Two vendors price production: Videowise's website lists AI content from $99 for 80 AI videos and creator content on request, and Tolstoy's paid plans include AI Studio tokens (2,000 a month on Starter). Creator and agency rates are negotiated, so no public figure exists to quote.

Storing them on Shopify

Videos uploaded to Shopify count against the limits on Shopify's file requirements page, not a per-view fee. Each file can be up to 1 GB and 10 minutes. A Basic plan holds 250 videos and 3D models and 50 GB of video storage; Grow holds 1,000 and 500 GB, Advanced 5,000, Plus 50,000 and 2 TB. Plus stores can buy extra file storage at $100 a month per 1 TB.

Where an app keeps its files changes which limit you hit. Videowise lists hosting in its free plan; most other listings do not say. Our page on Shopify product video size covers export settings that keep files small.

Storiq's plans

Storiq ‑ Product Stories launched on September 29, 2026 and has no reviews yet. It adds a story bar to product pages through a theme app block, and a product tagged on a slide shows a card with its image, title and price read live from your catalog. Free covers 3 active stories, 1,000 story views a month and 7-day analytics, without product cards. Starter, $9.99, adds product cards, 15 stories, 10,000 views, scheduling, and home and collection placements. Pro, $29, removes story and view limits. Both have a 7-day trial. Files sit in your Shopify Files library on Shopify's CDN, so the storage limits above apply, and there is no Instagram or TikTok import. Our page on shoppable stories explains when the format fits.

How to estimate your own monthly cost

  1. Count the audience on the pages that will carry video. Use the last 30 days on those pages, not store-wide traffic.
  2. Convert it to the app's unit. Impressions come first, then views, then clicks; a click budget lasts longest.
  3. Count your videos. Compare the number you need against each plan's video cap and, if the files live in Shopify, your plan's 250 or 1,000 limit.
  4. Add production. Reused clips cost nothing extra; AI and creator content does.
  5. Run the free plan for a month and read the app's own counter before you pick a paid plan.
